Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [Legal entity name] when you use selfscovery. By taking a quiz or buying one, you accept them.
Who you are dealing with
selfscovery is operated by [Legal entity name], [Street, city, postal code, country], registration number [Registration number]. You can reach us at [contact@example.com].
What this service is
selfscovery offers guided self-discovery quizzes. You answer questions, our code turns those answers into scores, and a written interpretation explains what the scores describe. Results from several quizzes build into your portrait.
This is a tool for reflection, not professional advice. Nothing here is medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or financial advice, and nothing here diagnoses anything. If something in your life needs real help, please talk to a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. By using selfscovery you confirm that you are, and that anything you tell us about yourself is true as far as you know.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to that email safe: anyone who can open it can reach your results. Tell us at [contact@example.com] if you think someone else has got in.
Buying a quiz
- Each quiz is a single payment, not a subscription. The price is shown before you pay, in US dollars.
- Payment is taken by Stripe on its own hosted page. Your card details never reach us.
- Once paid, you can take that quiz and return to its result for as long as the service operates and your account exists.
- Prices can change, but a change never affects a quiz you already bought.
Refunds and your right to withdraw
A quiz is digital content delivered to you immediately. If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. That right ends once delivery has begun with your express consent, which you give at checkout when you ask for immediate access. By starting a quiz you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw from that purchase.
If something genuinely went wrong, for example you were charged twice or the quiz never opened, write to [contact@example.com] and we will sort it out.
Interpretations are generated by AI
Your scores are calculated by our own code and are deterministic: the same answers always produce the same numbers. The written interpretation around those numbers is generated by an AI model. It can be imprecise or occasionally wrong, and it is not a professional opinion. Read it as a starting point for your own thinking.
What you may not do
- Copy, resell or republish the quizzes, questions, scoring or written content.
- Scrape the site, or use automated tools to pull content from it.
- Try to reverse engineer the scoring, or interfere with how the service runs.
- Use the service to harass anyone, or to break the law.
Who owns what
The quizzes, questions, scoring systems, written content, design and brand belong to [Legal entity name]. Your answers and your results are yours. You give us permission to store and process them so we can run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Sharing your portrait
You can create a link that shows your portrait to anyone who opens it. Whether to share it, and with whom, is your decision and your responsibility.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it is available without interruption. We may add, change or retire quizzes and features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your results.
We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we do that without good reason, you can ask for a refund of quizzes you bought but could no longer use.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, [Legal entity name] is not liable for decisions you make based on a quiz result, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your rights as a consumer are not affected.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [Slovakia], and disputes belong to its courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use selfscovery after that means you accept the new version.
